Gerede e.V.
The Gerede e.V. sees itself as representing the interests of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals and their families. We provide life support for people who get their sexual identity in conflict with society and therefore with themselves. We do our educational work in the context of youth-support. We want to provide help for teenagers and young adults who find themselves in difficult periods of self-discovery and in critical life situations.
We also help parents, teachers, educators and social workers in dealing with the subject of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lifestyles.
We see ourselves as a platform to promote inclusive and emancipatory projects and dealing with participatory approach in Dresden and Saxony and support.

- free, social educational consultation and companionship
- Youth groups and self-supporting groups
- project and educational measures about various ways of life
- Scientific clarification and public work
- Sociocultural events
- Co-operation with other voluntary sectors

It is our goal to create social acceptance for gay-, bi and transsexuality, as a part of love and sexuality.

Lisa stellt sich vor: "Ich bin Lisa, 21 Jahre alt und studiere Gender Studies an der Universität Oldenburg. Im Rahmen meines Studiums mache ich ein dreimonatiges Praktikum beim Gerede e.V. Der Verein ist eine tolle Sache und ich möchte mich, mal ein bisschen weg von der staubigen Theorie, gern praktisch einbringen, lernen und unterstützen wo ich nur kann."
